technology...pfffft

i cannot make calls from my new cordless phones.

i have come to the realization that i am not technologically gifted, and i have accepted this, and somehow been able to function somewhat in spite of it.

(and yes, i can program a VCR)

i was attempting to make a call from my cordless phone, to order pizza for my kids.

so i did what i thought was the obvious first step, which was turning the phone on. so far, so good, so i thought. then i dialed the number. nothin'.

hmmmm...maybe it's more like a cell phone...

so i dialed the number, then turned on the phone. still nothin'.

just to be sure, in case i accidently did somethin wrong the first time, i tried the first sequence again. i'm sure you can guess what happened. yep. nothin'.

now i imagine i could figure this out, if i were so inclined, but that would involve a long and arduous process which would include:

1. finding the instruction manual

2. reading said manual

3.

that just seemed like a whole lotta work to me, so i called the pizza place from my cell.

if you need me, you'll have to call me, cuz i can't call you.
